Clinton started talking about the issue after the New York Times investigated the sudden price increase of Darapim, which treats toxoplasmosis.  The drug became the property of a startup, Turing Pharmaceuticals, run by former hedge fund manager Martin Shkreli, who ran MSMB Capital. Turing "immediately" raised the price from under $14 per tablet to $750 per tablet, according to the Times.
